HOW TO CONVERT GRAMS TO OUNCES

If the label on a can of food expresses the weight of the contents of the can as gm you need to convert grams to ounces

Enter the weight you know in grams into a calculator

then hit X to multiply

then enter 28.35

then hit the = sign

The answer is now in ounces

To check the accuracy of your food scale - if you bought it used on ebay for a few dollars. Measure something you know weighs just one ounce.

You might pour out all the olives in the can and count them. Enter the total weight in ounces printed on the can then hit the division sign.   Then enter the number of olives you counted.  The answer expected is the weight ( in ounces ) of one olive.

The weight of the juice or water was not taken into account.

You should save the juice and weigh it also.  Then subtract the weight of the juice from the total weight of the contents of the can, before dividing by the number of olives counted.
